Procurement Officer Role in Beautiful Local Government

This local government council has an opportunity for a procurement officer to join them on a 6-month fixed-term basis with the potential for extension or permanency. **Your new role**

Within this role you will be responsible for administering tender, contract and purchasing functions according to Council policy. Duties and responsibilities include:

- Provision of guidance on tender process to internal stakeholders
- Provision of tender templates and documentation
- Facilitation of the tender process
- Organisation of tender evaluations and stakeholder meetings
- Entering new suppliers into the system
- Other financial administrative duties as required

**What you’ll need to succeed**

To succeed, you will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills as well as a thorough understanding and experience with procurement processes. Prior experience with government procurement will be highly regarded.

**What you’ll get in return**

In return, you will be offered a 6-month fixed term contract within Local Government with likely extension or transition to permanency. This is a business-as-usual role and will be required for the foreseeable future Further details include:

- Friendly and welcoming organisational culture
- $85,000 - $100,000 + super depending on experience
- 37.5 hour week with flexible start-finish times and working from home options
- Close to public transport
