The **Government Relations Advisor** is focussed on analysing, researching, and responding to ministerial and departmental correspondence, as well as coordinating and writing other ministerial and parliamentary materials. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of internal and government stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your stakeholder engagement skills in a high-profile and fast paced government environment.
**About You**
You are an experienced professional with a demonstrated track record in dealing effectively and discretely with complex and politically sensitive briefings and material in a high-profile environment.
Your integrity will be exceptional, and you will align with the Department’s values of kindness, collaboration, and fairness. You will have experience building effective working relationships with senior executives and Ministers’ offices and a track record for delivering high quality work on time.
**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
**Additionally**
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to shape Government Relations’ work that supports the Department’s divisions.
- Write high quality ministerial and departmental correspondence to a diverse range of audiences, adhering to the Minister’s style and the Department’s and NSW Government’s values.
- Contribute to a team which provides expert advice and recommendations directly to the Minister’s Office and Departmental executive.
- Operate within a high pressure and highly confidential environment with tight deadlines, where tact and diplomacy are paramount
