**Who are we looking for?.. At Forward Ability Support **we are looking for an attentive and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our expanding finance team.

**What will a day in the life of an Accounting Officer look like?**

As an accounting officer you will be providing timely, accurate and efficient processing of account receivable.

**You will complete key responsibilities such as**:

- Process and allocate all cash receipts
- Prepare Bank Reconciliations
- Ensure membership records are maintained up to date
- Timely preparation and submission of claims
- Resolve Customer account queries
- Identify and follow-up overdue accounts
- Issue customer statements and invoices

**What will you need to join us?**
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting
- Understanding of month end process and profit and loss reports
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to analyse and problem solve
- Strong Customer Focus with an ability to liaise with a diverse range of people
- Experience in general Ledger reconciliations
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Numerate with attention to detail
- Good computer skills including an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing obtain one

**Desirable but not essential**
- Previous experience using Exact / SAP ERP Systems
- Experience n Accounts Receivables
- Experience with NDIS Accounts
