**Who are we looking for?.. At Forward Ability Support **we are looking for an attentive and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our expanding finance team.

**What will a day in the life of an Accounting Officer look like?**

As an accounting officer you will be providing timely, accurate and efficient processing, administration and credit control of accounts receivables.

**You will complete key responsibilities such as**:

- Process invoices as per scheduled periodic invoicing or as/when required;
- Import, issue, prepare and submit Claims on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis for Participants and Clients;
- Attend to and resolve Customer account queries, clarifications and complaints;
- Review weekly debtors aged trial balance to identify overdue accounts and follow up overdue debtor balances ensuring customers are within their approved credit limits and debtors ageing is controlled;
- Despatch monthly customer statements and send invoices on request;
- Review and complete Month End Tasks as required and assist as/if needed;
- Assist in any other Finance and administration tasks as required

**What will you need to join us?**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Understanding of month end process and profit and loss reports;
- Sound written and oral communication, analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Strong customer focus with an ability to liaise with a diverse range of people;
- Experience in general ledger reconciliations;
- Willingness to work in a team environment;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Numerate, with attention to detail;
- Sound Computer skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and Word

**Desirable but not essential**
- Previous experience using Exact / SAP ERP Systems
- Experience in Accounts Receivables
- Experience with NDIS Accounts
