A position has recently become available for a Head of Capital Transactions to join our Australian Property Business, based at Barangaroo, Sydney. This is a full time, permanent opportunity.

As Head of Capital Transactions, you’ll be responsible for leading the Capital Transactions Team who are responsible for the purchase and sale of assets for the Australian Investment Management businesses. The role is a national role and predominately covers the major investment sectors office, retail and industrial plus the newly emerging sectors that Lendlease and their partners are exploring.

Some of your duties will involve:

- Leading the Capital Transaction Team consisting of Capital Transaction Managers and Analysts to support the acquisition and sale of investment product for Lendlease Australia.
- Identify investment opportunities nationally based upon strategies set by the business.
- Review the financial modelling for potential acquisition and disposals of all direct property asset classes undertaken by the Capital Transactions team
- Provide sound market advice to keep Lendlease abreast of market trends and relevant property transactions.
- Work closely with Investment Management and Development businesses to assist with strategies and new business initiatives
- Manage the due diligence requirements including running bids and executing acquisition and disposals
- Ensure deadlines for product and investor initiatives are met
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics or Business. Property or Land Economy equivalent Majors an advantage.
- Several years advisory, valuation or agency experience in property markets in Australia. High level of experience and understanding in relation to the valuation of property.
- Experience in running high performance teams and developing talent
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office and Forbury Valuation modelling.
- Strong analytical skills - ability to synthesise data from a range of sources and identify key issues/opportunities
- Well-developed project management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach to decision making
- Well developed presentation skills, with experience in both group and individual contexts
