Provide dedicated, tailored and professional HR BP Support
- First point of contact for generalist HR matters
- REM (LG - Band 7) range approx. $101 - $111K + Super (dep. on experience)

PSP are exclusively recruiting this HRBP Band 7 position on behalf of the Maribyrnong City Council.

Reporting directly to the Coordinator Human Resource, the role sit within the People and Capability Department, in the Corporate Services Directorate. The positions key objectives include:

- Develop partnerships of the allocated Directorates services, to contribute to the achievement of the allocated division goals and objectives.
- Partner with managers and supervisors to build organisation capacity, manage performance and strengthen their people management skills.
- Develop, deliver, and improve allocated HR portfolio area within agreed timeframes, budget, and standards.
- Provide sound operational guidance and advice across a range of employee relations issues.
- Provide accurate interpretation and advice on awards, legislation, regulations.
- Provide advice on appropriate recruitment strategies and support in all aspects of recruitment.
- Develop and review best practice HR policies and procedures, provide associated education and awareness across the organisation and within allocated division.
- Under the guidance of the Coordinator Human Resources, contribute to delivering key organisational-wide projects/ initiatives, such as annual performance reviews and outcomes from the employee engagement survey.
- Participate in or lead projects within the People and Capability department.
- Under the guidance of the Coordinator Human Resources, assist in the management of contracts with external providers against service delivery specifications and financial performance indicators.

Essential Skills and Experience required:

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience in Human Resources.
- Demonstrated experience in managing generalist HR matters and inquiries through the provision of internal HR consultancy and advisory services.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of human resources policies, procedures, systems, and programs.
- Covid Vaccinations certificate and probity checks will be required.

REM (LG - Band 7) range approx. $101 - $111K + Super (dep. on experience). Shortlisting for the role will take place during the first week in May.
