- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About the role**
- The Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) supports people with disability, their families and carers to access health care across the Barwon South West region. The DLO has a strong focus on identifying and addressing barriers people with disability experience when accessing health services. The DLO supports people with disability during their patient journey across emergency, acute and rehabilitation, outpatients and community services. The DLO provides appointment support, discharge support and acts as a link between a participant, their disability service provider and Barwon Health. The role may work across multiple sites including community outreach activities.- Applicants with lived experience of disability will be highly regarded, particularly those with experience or understanding of intersectional identities including LGBTIQ+, Aboriginal and CALD people with a disability.-
