**Who We Are**
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is an innovative social impact organisation operating across Australia.

We use our broad outlook, transformational thinking, and trusted voice to lead the charge against inequality in Australia. We were created over 20 years ago to find innovative solutions to entrenched social problems and speed up the rate of positive change.

We think differently, help redesign systems by learning about what works in communities, and work hand-in-hand with passionate partners to take real action and achieve positive social change.

**Our Consulting Team**
Our Consulting team works exclusively on for-purpose projects that strengthen the social sector and have a positive impact on people and communities.

Founded 15 years ago by strategy consultants from some of Australia’s leading firms, SVA pioneered social sector consulting in Australia.

In the past 15 years, the team has worked with hundreds of clients, including non-profits, governments, social enterprises, First Nations people and communities, philanthropic organisations and corporates pursuing social change to deliver high impact projects.

Our projects generally fall into one of five service offerings:

- Strategy - helping organisations to determine their purpose and strategic goals and how they can best achieve them.
- Outcomes Management - supporting organisations to understand the changes they want to create and how to measure if they are achieving it.
- Collaboration and Partnerships - supporting clients to identify partnership and collaboration opportunities to increase their impact.
- Organisational Effectiveness - helping clients to operate more effectively to ensure they are set up to achieve their goals.
- Program Design - helping clients to develop effective programs that achieve the desired outcomes for participants.

Learn more about us and our work on our website.

**The Opportunity**
We have an opportunity for an Analyst to join SVA’s Melbourne Consulting team.
Working under the director supervision of a Manager, Principal or Director, Analysts are typically responsible for a stream of work, which may require conducting research, data modelling and analysis, and developing presentations or reports to communicate their findings.

Analysts work across multiple projects, usually two or more at a time, with a typical project lasting between three and six months.

**_At SVA, the responsibilities and expectations of the Analyst role are broadly equivalent to those of a ‘Consultant' level at other comparable consulting organisations._**

Working in SVA’s Consulting team provides exposure to challenging and rewarding opportunities. You will build close relationships with inspiring clients and communities, sector leaders, colleagues and stakeholders, which provides a great foundation for professional growth and development. You will collaborate with a growing and highly committed team with wide-ranging experience across the social sector.

**Your Benefits**
- Work in a business with a track record of driving meaningful social change including being awarded Best CSR Innovation by the Australian Financial Review (AFR) in 2023
- Be part of the SVA team known for living by our values to put people at the centre and be open and ready to learn
- Work in a team that offers flexibility and a hybrid work model that is specific to you and recognises that work is only one of our priorities.
- Join a business which prioritises personal wellbeing and development, including an additional week’s leave after working with SVA for two continuous years.

**Who You Are**
This role with SVA is a great opportunity for a person with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in a business focussed on social sector impact.

Analysts will:

- Bring 1 - 2 years working within a problem-solving role (e.g., consulting, social sector, government, law, finance business), with experience in an established management/strategy consulting firm highly desirable;
- Demonstrate that they are self-motivated and strive for excellence;
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment;
- Have experience undertaking research, analysing data, building presentations, and writing reports; and
- Have the ability to plan and manage a workstream.

If you have the experience and skills we are looking for and are excited to join our team, please submit your CV (max 2 pages) and a statement (max 1 page) addressing the person requirements** by 11.59pm AEST 28 February 2025.
