As a** Technical Officer **based in Clayton, you will report to the COEX Technical Support Supervisor and provide technical assistance as required.

You will provide technical expertise to manufacturing and sales to support existing products and to use this expertise to help develop and introduce new products. You will also run improvement plans to lower costs and increase efficiency.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop, produce, and test new products.
- Under guidance and management, maintain existing products.
- Provide technical advice and sales aids to sales, marketing, and customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to customers and field trials.
- Evaluate competitive products.
- Conduct testing and verification of alternate sources of raw materials and issuing of specifications.
- Reduction of formula process times
- Achieve product quality at minimum cost.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent with a chemistry major (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in surface coatings industry gained in product development and technical service.
- Experience in paint formulation or manufacturing is desirable.
- Practical knowledge of the OPM systems is a bonus.
- Previous experience in the same market and customer base.
