Our product range spans across traditional Italian salami, ham, bacon, traditional smallgoods and fresh meat including a range of Outdoor Bred pork.

**Your Story**

As a Technical Officer (Food) at Tibaldi you will be part of the Research and Development team based in Clayton, Victoria reporting to the Research and Development Manager.

To be successful in this role you will have a Butchery background and relevant experience inclusive of smallgoods or meat manufacturing experience.

You will be involved in:

- Using your well-rounded butchery skills
- Responding to internal technical enquiries related to meat products
- Supporting NPD including Stage and Gate processes and procedures
- Assisting with developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and establishing quality control points for emerging, new and existing products.
- Assisting with continuous improvement and technical development activities including product trials on a case-by-case basis (e.g. system and document creation and maintenance, capture data and data entry)
- Assisting with end-to-end R & D project implementation from pre-production to commercial launch (e.g. costings, sourcing ingredients, data collection, food safety procedures, refinement of briefs and quality and assurance).

Our FMCG and meat products, will require you to use your knowledge of:

- Butchery
- Meat processing
- FMCG, meat and smallgoods products
- Food manufacturing GMP standards
- Food safety managements systems (e.g., FSANZ, SQF, HACCP, CFMSR, Yum, Costco, Aldi, FSSC 22000)

Previous product development experience will be highly regarded.

As part of the Research and Development team you will:

- Be an adaptable, innovative team player, willing to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and good sense of judgement on confliction priorities.
- Work collaboratively to partner with key business stakeholders including from Operations, Production, Quality and Assurance, Research and Development, Finance, Maintenance, Sales, Marketing and HR.
- Be ‘hands-on’ with everyone from our entry level roles to the CEO.
- May be able to work from home on occasions (not a permanent arrangement).
