**Permanent role**:

The purpose of this crucial role is to work with colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure the Profin Portfolio has in place an effective control environment across key responsibilities such as Product Appetite, Product Wordings and Underwriting Guidelines and Pricing. The role involves working within a team of portfolio and product specialists to deliver an exceptional customer proposition via a range of Suncorp Brands.

**Key Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Contribute growth of the Profin Portfolio by improving the customer experience and proposition, launching new product and leveraging market inefficiencies
- Contribute to the financial performance of the Profin Portfolio by implementing product and pricing strategies to optimise the growth, margin and risk profile over the short and long term
- Strong collaboration required with Underwriting, Pricing & Analytics, Actuarial, Risk and Assurance & Claims
- Work with a team of portfolio and product specialists to govern the underwriting function via Delegation of Authorities (DoA’s), Delegated Underwriting Authorities (DUA’s), underwriting guidelines, business & underwriting rules, technical training and quality assurance
- Assist in building and improving the technical product capability across our business.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in commercial insurance, coupled with relevant qualifications or Professional & Financial Lines underwriting experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio, underwriting and pricing practices and policies
- Sound understanding of the insurance industry, market environment and customer segment
- Strong knowledge of Professional & Financial Lines insurance products and knowledge of competitor activity and trends
- Project Management experience or project experience on strategic initiatives or regulatory change is preferrable.
