The role

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Portfolio Specialists to join the Consumer team helping to manage the Private Motor and Householder portfolios. You will assist in driving portfolio performance to deliver sustainable, profitable growth that meets the needs of our customers and the business. You will identify segments for profitable growth, help to manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, and support the development and delivery of long-term portfolio strategy.

How will I help?

As a Portfolio Specialist you will be responsible for portfolio management activities to deliver profitable growth in Consumer. You will also:
- In conjunction with Head of Portfolio, undertake activities to develop Portfolio strategy that aligns to overarching Consumer strategy- Play an active role in the implementation of portfolio strategies and plans to deliver to portfolio targets- Support business planning processes including budgets and forecast- Conduct portfolio and segment analysis to monitor business mix and deliver actionable insights- Monitor the competitive landscape to support development and execution of tactical and strategic action plan- Translate strategies and plans into operational objectives for the business unit- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements across the end-to-end value chain, focusing on product, pricing and underwriting- Develop networks and relationships with key stakeholders- Deliver communication for development and changes in product, pricing and underwriting to internal and external stakeholders- Develop portfolio insights that contribute to improvements to other value chain operations

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will come from an Insurance background and have experience managing a portfolio. You will also have:
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel to generate reports & interpret data- Knowledge of risk management, portfolio management and underwriting will be an advantage- Exceptional stakeholder engagement both internally and externally- The ability to work autonomously- Strong analytical, problem solving skills, communication and negotiation skills- Effective planning and budgeting skills- Experience using Power BI, preferred
