**Permanent role**:

- **Work with a team of Portfolio and Property specialists who collaborate closely with all stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer proposition**:

- **Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne CBD locations / hybrid wfh**

The purpose of this crucial role is to ensure the Property product has an effective control environment across key responsibilities such as Product Appetite, Product Wordings and Underwriting Guidelines. Ensure Business License and DUA controls operate effectively for the Property product. This role also involves driving the financial performance of the Property portfolio by owning and implementing product & pricing strategies to optimise the growth, margin and risk profile over the short and medium term.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Accountable for Risk Appetite, Underwriting Guidelines, DUA Framework and all Property Wordings including controls that ensure a robust approach to oversight and change process when required
- Ensure compliance with all risk frameworks
- Work with Pricing & Analytics and Underwriting to ensure an approach to pricing adequacy that considers required returns, volatility of returns and the market cycle
- Deliver financial results against both Budget and Medium-Term profit targets for Property
- Support coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities for underwriters in line with career development plans.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years commercial Property underwriting experience, coupled with relevant qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio, underwriting and pricing practices and policies
- Advanced understanding of the Property product, industry, market environment, and customer segments
- Advanced understanding of the risk / return profiles of Property and techniques to optimise performance within appetite.
