**The opportunity**

We are recruiting an Information Specialist in a permanent full-time position within the Transport Records and Repository Team.

This role is responsible for providing specialised records and information management advice and support to Records and Repository customers across the cluster. The role also supports the operational management and delivery of records management services and projects.

Please note that this position is temporarily based in Burwood, but will be moved back to our Auburn facility in the coming months.

The position does require attendance at the office, as the majority of our work is with physical records.

**What you will be involved in**:

- You will analyse business processes and functions to assess compliance and performance and provide recommendations as necessary.
- Ensure compliance for the ongoing management, storage and the life cycle of the records against legislation and standards.
- Participate in planning and implementing appropriate support, advice and training, policies, standards, and procedures on archival, records management and information systems best practice.
- Work with clients, implement strategies to ensure they understand, and that their records are maintained in compliance with the State Records Act and other relevant legislation and applicable disposal schedules are applied.
- Advise and assist in record management audits and legislative inquiries conducted internally and by external agencies including subpoena and GIPA retrievals.
- Undertake quality assurance (QA) tasks on records, ensuring they have current and correct disposal schedules applied.

**About you**
- You will have experience in a similar role with an in-depth knowledge of information and records management practices, legislation, and disposal schedules.
- You are an exceptional communicator with the ability to work collaboratively within a broad diverse team while proactively building relationships with all stakeholders.
- You will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a complex, fast paced work environment in order to ensure delivery of high-quality services.
- You will be able to demonstrate your experience in working independently to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- You will have an intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, and strong understanding of modern information management trends and technologies.
- You must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and open to receiving training in first aid the use of a forklift

The salary for this position is Transport Service **Grade 6 ($94,879- $104,367) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.**
