**Information Management Specialist**

The Information Management Specialist is responsible for:
1. Leading by example to promote a culture that supports information governance. By advocating ‘information is an asset’ and helping build a culture, maturity and behaviours that support better practice records and information management (RIM) within the CDPP.
2. Under limited direction provide speciality and operational systems support for the CDPP EDRMS and FRS (File Registry System) Helpdesk. Facilitates the triage, analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues (Level 2 Service Desk).
3. Support and relieve the Information Management Specialist EDRMS as required.
4. Provides input into and develops the teams standard operating procedures (SOPs) and EDRMS Guides. Determines when issues should be escalated to a high level by utilising available resources and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Provide advice to staff (clients) on records and information management best practice. Facilitates the file retrieval service, sentencing of records, transfer of inactive records from business units to repository storage (including permanent storage with National Archives of Australia (NAA)) and destruction of records that are no longer of value.
6. Uses discretion to facilitate the administration and delivery of EDRMS/RIM training. This includes the development of training products.
7. Prepare Overnight Bags & External Couriers.
8. Provides input into the development of strategies and policies for effective record and information management that support and enhance CDPP business functions.
9. Builds and sustains strong positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including liaison and issue resolution with all stakeholders.
10. Be required to undertake a broad range of activities to ensure an appropriate level of service delivery.
