**Be at the heart of our mission to become the world's most customer centric Healthcare company**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Design Delivery Manager available in our property team at Bupa, where you'll have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects in this space.
**The opportunity**:
In this role, you’ll be managing the design and fit-out phases of retail, office, and development projects across the Australia portfolio, ensuring that branding standards are met and that our Retail Partners achieve a timely and successful store opening. The role involves close collaboration with Retailers, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders to deliver a high-quality retail environment.
You’ll be accountable for the design delivery of property projects across the Bupa Property portfolio, this includes our Health Services, Health Insurance and Corporate footprint that execute refurbishments, rebrands, refits, relocations and closures across the business as required.
**To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have**:
- 5-10 years’ experience in Property Project delivery/operational projects.
- Experience managing design projects across the full project lifecycle, with exposure to retail, clinical and commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of design principles, building codes, construction processes, and regulatory compliance.
**This is a permanent role, based in either Melbourne or Sydney.**
**We offer hybrid work arrangements, so you’ll have the flexibility to work from home when you aren’t visiting sites or working from the office in the Melbourne/Sydney CBD.**
**How will I help?**
You will add value by:
- Leading the design review process for incoming Retailer shop drawings and plans, ensuring they meet the brand's retail design criteria and standards.
- Managing the coordination between tenants and construction teams, ensuring a smooth handover and fit-out process within designated timelines.
- Ensuring all tenant designs comply with the relevant codes, regulations, and sustainability requirements.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Serving as the primary liaison between tenants, landlords, and external consultants to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Coordinating with leasing, operations, and marketing teams for the alignment of design and delivery strategies with company goals.
- Overseeing the quality control of construction and fit-out work and address any discrepancies or delays.
- Negotiating and managing contract agreements with architects, contractors, and other service providers.
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered within budget and time constraints.
- Engaging and partnering with external contractors on project deliverables.
- Benchmarking all projects to achieve the lowest possible pricing for the best quality and scaled rated fit outs.
