**The Company**

Our client is a subsidiary of an ASX listed business. They are looking to bring on board a financial controller to cover a maternity leave cover, with the potential to go permanent due to some internal movements. There is a big focus on impairments, adjustments, complex tax structure, technical accounting on acquisitions and divestments.

We are arranging interviews this week for an immediate start.

**The Role**

Financial Reporting
- Oversight of Group financial reporting, internal and external auditors, group compliance and Board financial reporting. Along with internal and external auditing process, including follow-up, recommendation implementation

Tax (Direct / Indirect)
- Implement and maintain strong tax governance framework across the group and Funds under management. Oversight of monthly tax calculations and lodgments, including (but not limited to) (i) deferred tax calculation and journals; (ii) forecast taxable income; (iii) BAS/IAS.

Compliance / Governance
- Lead strong compliance process across the group and Funds under management. Provide oversight on quarterly compliance plan checklist for retail fund.

Acquisitions & Divestments (Ad-hoc)

Treasury
- Oversight of cash flow position, loan rollover/drawdown/repayment. Oversight of bank compliance processes and ensure banking facility agreements are adhered to.

Valuations and Unit Price
- Maintain schedule of valuations across the Group portfolio and coordinate valuation process

**Experience**
- CA or CPA qualified
- Big 4 or audit/assurance experience highly regarded
- 15 years plus experience in a senior finance role or accounting position
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent team leadership and mentoring skills.
- Change management and continuous improvement experience.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and financial projections.
- Proven experience in development and management of financial polices/procedures and supporting process documentation.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
- Organised and good time management
