About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions for Commercial Cookery and Hospitality qualifications (Cert III, Cert IV, Diploma)
- Deliver both theory and hands-on practical classes based on national training package requirements
- Develop and adapt lesson plans, training materials, and assessment tools
- Assess student performance through written work, observations, and practical tasks
- Offer guidance, feedback, and academic support to help students succeed
- Ensure all delivery and assessments align with current RTO and ASQA standards
- Participate in validation and review of assessment practices with the training team
- Keep accurate and timely records of student participation, progress, and results
- Assist in improving course content and training approaches based on feedback and compliance needs
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices to ensure course relevance
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent (mandatory).
- Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years’ recent and relevant industry experience in cookery or hospitality.
- Experience delivering training and assessment in an RTO setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of training packages, compliance, and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Full-time work rights in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or relevant visa).
