Head of Business Performance

**Overview**
he Head of Business Performance is a key leadership role in our organisation, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring business performance and operational efficiency. This includes the management of performance metrics, KPIs, and business analysis tools to monitor, report, and improve the overall performance of the organisation. The function also plays an important role in managing communications about the business externally and to internal stakeholders.

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus
- Strategy Development and Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for improving business performance across all departments and functions. This includes identifying key performance metrics, setting targets, and developing action plans to achieve these targets.
- Provide advice and support to the COO on strategy and business improvements initiatives.
- Ensure Marketing and Brand Strategies are plans are in place.
Operational Management
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency. This may involve the implementation of new technology, changes to business processes, or training and development for staff.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on performance metrics to the executive team and other stakeholders. Identify areas of underperformance and recommend appropriate actions. Work with the executive team to create and deliver KPI reporting for the business.
- Ensure execution of the Marketing and Brand Strategies in line with agreed plans and priorities.
People Leadership
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, manage, and develop the business performance team. Provide coaching and feedback to team members to support their professional growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to ensure alignment of business performance strategies with overall company objectives.

- Contribute to the development of the team by identifying and rolling out relevant training
- Ensure an appropriate internal engagement framework is implemented within your team and peers to support greater empowerment and engagement, the sharing of ideas, provision of regular feedback and relevant business updates
- Work closely with the COO to ensure the COO function is operating effectively and drive high performance activities
Governance & Risk
- Maintain up to date knowledge of superannuation legislation and trends

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the same industry
- Excellent understanding of business operations and performance metrics
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools and data analysis software
Other skills to have
- Budgeting and financial forecasting
- Sound judgment and leadership decision making skills
- Experience in the superannuation industry with at least 12 months in a management or leadership role
- Knowledge of compliance and legislation applicable to superannuation
