Your new role
It’s an exciting time to be joining our Managed Fund Claims business. Our Head of Nominal Insurer holds a critical leadership role within QBE and the NSW workers compensation industry. The role is tasked with driving a positive, high-performance culture with end-to-end accountability for financial, operational, customer and people outcomes in QBE’s Nominal Insurer operation. Your leadership and strategic input will be essential in driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise the overall claims experience for all stakeholders.
More importantly, your role will focus on:
- Claims performance: Achieve targeted performance to quality and outcome measures as agreed with our customers
- Customer experience: Delivering a fair and empathetic approach to claims service delivery
- Drive the claims strategy to support QBE’s overall strategic direction.
- Work closely with icare, regulators, brokers, and industry groups to influence policy for best practice
- Embed a culture of risk management & compliance throughout the team.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders including Claims, Underwriting, Partnerships, and the Managed Fund Claims Senior Leadership Team.
- Define the Nominal Insurer team culture through your people-centred approach to Leadership.
About you
With people and customers at the heart of everything you do, our Head of Nominal Insurer will bring a wealth of knowledge to the position. More specifically, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in a Senior Leadership role within Workers Compensation, personal injury, or life insurance
- Experience working with icare and industry bodies, with an exceptional track record in managing strategic customer relationships.
- An ability to define and deliver financial performance, KPI’s, performance strategies and business plans across diverse working groups.
- A focus on compliance and the relevant understanding of auditing, reporting and feedback to drive performance.
- An agile mindset to business management and continuous improvement.
- A forward-facing approach to your day to day - willing to communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders.
