The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Manager, Client Services to provide a critical role at Western Plains Correctional Centre.
About the business unit
The Department of Justice and Community Safety has built a new maximum-security prison. The 1248 bed facility is an essential part of the government's commitment to improving community safety.
As a staff member working from the initial stage of operations you will be a contributor to the foundations of this innovative new correctional facility. You will take up your role in operation of the facility and have opportunities to be part of the project activity to deliver this, participating in the development of operating processes, developing services and procedures. You will be part of the foundation group building the culture and partnerships of the facility across the multi-disciplinary staff team and with our service providers and stakeholders.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workforce & Prison Services you will be a key contributor to the team, delivering outputs required for the project, operational development, commissioning and ramp up of the new correctional facility.
In this role you will be responsible for the operations of several internal services that support the operation of the facility such as: mail, stores, internal transport, customer service and admin support. In addition to this you will also be responsible for a number of areas related to the service of prisoners like property, records and canteen.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Oversee and manage all client services operations at Western Plains Correctional Centre.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to staff, management, prisoners, clients and stakeholders in relation to Client Services deliverables.
- Collect statistical information, analyse and prepare basic reports.
- Review procedures and contribute to the development of continuous improvement actions.

About you
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of client centric service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently allocate resources in order to meet service delivery priorities.
- Knowledge of warehousing practices and stores management would be desirable.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
