**About the Role**:
The Decision Support Unit (DSU) is led by the Executive Group Manager who reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Canberra Health Services. The DSU works collaboratively to enable operational and non-operational planning and reporting, for CHS, using ABF as a meta-framework. Health Information Services provides a range of functions including scanning and health record management, clinical coding and case mix data generation, patient identifier maintenance, clinical record forms design and managing access to personal health information to facilitate patient care follow-up, research, quality improvement, education and hospital management purposes.
This position works under limited direction from the Operations Manager supervises a medium sized administration team who are responsible for updating and maintaining the patient medical record which includes scanning/importing documents, performing verification, chart correction and other quality control activities to maintain record integrity and assisting with reception. The HIS Administration Supervisor is responsible for the co-ordination of workflow, distribution of work for the team and monitoring work performance.
