
Assistant Centre Director

**Key Responsibilities**
- Act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Director, ensuring the centre operates in alignment with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
- Lead by example to promote a culture of Kindness, Empathy and Gratitude, respect, and collaboration among educators, children, and families.
- Mentor and support educators in delivering a child-led, inclusive, and meaningful curriculum, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Encourage and facilitate ongoing critical reflection and professional growth within the team.
- Ensure the centre meets all compliance and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, documentation, and staff-to-child ratios.
- Foster genuine, trusting relationships with children, families, educators, and the broader community.
- Contribute to administrative responsibilities, including rostering, enrolments, audits, and maintaining the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)/ Self-assessment tool.
**Key Selection Criteria**
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
- A minimum of two years’ leadership experience in early childhood education.
- Experience in the Responsible Person role under the National Law.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and National Quality Standard (NQS).
- Demonstrated ability to lead with kindness, integrity, Honesty, and clear communication.
- Confidence in guiding critical reflections that drive continuous improvement.
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection, Safe Sleep, Child Safe Modules 1-7.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Pay: $76,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
