**About the role**

The Claims Analyst utilises technical expertise focusing on entitlements, worker fraud and related activities.

The position will work in the Triage & Assessment team within the Scheme Integrity Investigations Division. The role will be responsible for undertaking complex detailed reviews of fraudulent activities conducted against the scheme.

**Key accountabilities**
- Oversee and manage allocated referrals into the Triage & Assessment team
- Partner with scheme integrity investigators to undertake and plan strategic interventions
- Provide expert technical advice on issues, initiatives and trends relating to fraudulent activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes in line with Scheme Integrity Investigations' strategy.

**About you**

**You are a Workers Compensation Claims specialist, with 5+ year's agent experience. Your strong technical expertise and attention to detail will enable your ability to provide sound advice on decision making and claims management activities. Your communication and organisational skills are highly developed, allowing you to build and maintain trusting relationships with your stakeholders.

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and operation of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (2013) and the Accident Compensation Act 1985
- Recognised expertise in injury claims case management at a claim by claim level, particularly in respect to Workers Compensation claims
- Ability to forensically analyse data and develop strategies to prevent and respond to worker fraud
- Expert level of knowledge of entitlement to compensation
- Preparedness to question existing practises and recommend new ideas
