Purpose of the Role

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee compliance and quality across Income Protection, TPD, Trauma, Terminal Illness, and Life claims. Your mission is to ensure our claims teams operate at their best — within risk appetite, with precision, and with customer focus.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Performing claims audits across Income Protection, TPD, Terminal Illness, Trauma and Life claims including admin and lodgement.
  • Maintain supervision and monitoring procedures/documentation including checklist creation/maintenance and sampling parameters.
  • Reporting of supervision and monitoring results, analysis, and generating insights to drive continuous improvement and manage risks.
  • Prepare and present insights, results, and feedback to stakeholders, assisting in driving capability uplift, continuous improvement, and risk management.
  • Focus on risk management across key risk indicators and ensuring business areas are operating within their risk appetite.
  • Participate in calibrations to ensure consistency in supervision and monitoring.
  • Lead or be part of working groups on supervision and monitoring activities across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive supervision and monitoring packs.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years in Life Insurance claims, with deep expertise in Income Protection and TPD.
  • Strong grasp of LICOP, CHFS, and claims compliance obligations.
  • Experience in auditing, quality reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into action.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement.
