**Salary: Grade 9 - $70,734.40 - $77,354.84 plus super**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly motivated Business Support Officer. The role sits within the Planning and Compliance Directorate of Liverpool City Council and is part of the directorate's administrative team. The role will see you providing high-quality administrative support within Development Assessment (in particular to the Manager Development Assessment, Coordinator Development Assessment, and Coordinator Land Development) to optimise the overall effectiveness of the Development Assessment Department. Some of your duties will include managing correspondence through Trim and Pathway for customer, mayoral, councillor, and Members of Parliament requests on their behalf; scheduling meetings and ensuring their time is effectively balanced and managed; screening telephone calls and enquiries on their behalf; coordinating and distributing all incoming and outgoing mail; administering purchase orders; and preparing correspondence and forms for the managers. There is a lot of opportunity to step up and learn new things outside of the normal day-to-day duties of the role within the directorate.
**ABOUT YOU**
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a business support role
- Demonstrated experience in word processing and the use of Microsoft Office software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data entry.
- Time management and calendar management experience
- experience working in a confidential environment.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing, streamlining, and establishing systems and procedures
