**About the role**:
The Technical Specialist - Desktop role provides expertise, guidance and technical “hands on” contribution in the planning, design, and implementation of a broad range of end user computing technologies.

Working across multiple projects the position will be required to liaise with multiple stakeholders becoming the single point of contact for the desktop stream of the workplace domain, facilitating the installation, configuration, and deployment of IT equipment across the organisation. In addition, driving efficiency through continuous improvement, new technology, best practices, and automation.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Be the single point of contact for desktop end user compute technology delivery in the workplace domain.
- Have a broad range of desktop engineer related skills in order to support and guide project delivery.
- Proactively keep project stakeholders informed in relation to issues and provide accurate and high-quality advice, which contributes to meeting stakeholder expectations and timeframes.
- Provide input into, and adheres to policy, standards, processes, and procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation according to organisational standards (procedures, technical documentation and process diagrams associated with end user computing technology) as part of project delivery and enhancement activities.
- Develop detailed system implementation plans in conjunction with key system and business stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions and decision making with the business, to assist with the delivery of project outcomes.
- Recommend and implement opportunities for technical project delivery and operational improvement.

**To succeed in the role you’ll have**:

- Demonstrated experience working in a multi-sourced environment (required).
- Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise directory environments underpinned by Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, SCCM, Intune, Group Policies, VPN technologies, Citrix.
- Extensive experience in hardware troubleshooting - Windows, IOS and Mac devices.
- Understanding of infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, and Exchange) and networking (IP Addressing, routing, network topologies).
- Understanding of Azure Active Directory, Azure services, and related technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem to support IT services.
- Tertiary qualification in IT, or equivalent industry qualification/s or experience (required).
- Industry accreditations, including Microsoft Azure, Windows 10, Office 365, Mobility, SCCM (desirable).
