**More about the role**

As a Small Business Banker, you will have the opportunity to manage a portfolio of current and future clients, providing them with the expert financial guidance they need to succeed. Working closely with non-personal customers who require commercial and investment finance, your main objective will be to retain and grow our commercial book while enhancing our clients' business and personal needs.

At Great Southern Bank, you will be empowered to run your desk like it's your own business, managing both internal and external relationships to develop business opportunities. You will promote complex and commercial lending solutions to our existing customers and focus on acquiring new customers through a range of channels.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for;
- Building and managing business lending referral sources both internally and externally.
- Establish yourself as a go-to contact point for business banking by proactively contacting existing small business customers to develop an understanding of their business and goals.
- You will also identify lending opportunities, write credit proposals, and manage to drawdown, ensuring that our clients receive the financial support they need to succeed.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven record in a relationship-driven sales role, ideally supporting mortgage or SME clients. You should also have developed solid knowledge of end-to-end mortgage and commercial lending from origination, credit submission, fulfilment, and settlement.

You should have a history of proactively developing and maintaining relationships with clients and an ability to analyse financial records, including cash flow, P&L, balance sheets, and working capital ratios and calculations. A degree qualification in a business discipline would be highly desired.
