Accounts Manager

Bathroom Werx – Full Time | Melbourne, VIC

Join a well-established Australian brand and play a key role in managing our finance operations across the company and our national franchise network.

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of our accounting function — from payroll and reporting through to BAS preparation and cash flow management. If you're proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a hands-on environment, we'd love to hear from you.


About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll oversee all financial and accounting activities for Bathroom Werx and our Franchisees. This is a pivotal role ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate reporting across the business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting and finance operations across multiple MYOB data files
  • Processing accounts payable and general journal transactions
  • Overseeing accounts receivable (and covering the role during leave)
  • Fortnightly payroll processing, leave management, PAYG and superannuation payments
  • Monthly IAS and quarterly BAS lodgement
  • Bank and end-of-month reconciliations
  • Cash flow monitoring and management reporting
  • Liaising with suppliers, franchisees, external accountants, and internal teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement of accounting systems and procedures

About You

You're an organised, self-motivated professional who takes initiative and enjoys improving systems and processes. You can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

You'll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Strong working knowledge of MYOB, Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience with payroll, BAS/GST, and reconciliations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Certificate IV in Accounting (or similar qualification) – desirable
