**The Role**
This role leads a small team in facilitating the sourcing of records and information from Defence business areas and repositories including the transfer of this information to other government agencies.

This position is accountable under limited direction to:

- Lead and manage a team to deliver expected outcomes;
- Undertake complex administrative tasks within an integrated workforce;
- Work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s mission and business objectives;
- Make independent decisions; and
- Undertake quality assurance tasks.

**About our Team**
In support of Defence capability, the Defence Single Access Mechanism (SAM) Team facilitates the provision of information and/or records to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation for the determination of military compensation claims and invalidity benefits for serving and former serving ADF members.

The SAM team consists of three sub teams who focus on certain aspects of the SAM function to drive efficiency and compliance with key expected outcomes.
