EDL owns and operates a global portfolio of power stations in Australia, North America and
Europe. Our vision is to be the leading global producer of sustainable distributed energy. At
EDL, we are playing a key role in the world’s transition from traditional energy sources to
decarbonised solutions.
Due to an internal move we are seeking to appoint a Head of Supply Chain. This role is
responsible for ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Supply Chain processes
across the global business. This includes leading the overall purchasing strategy, as well as
setting policies, benchmarks and overall management of relevant processes.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for EDL’s global supply chain activities
end-to-end
- Engaging, advising and collaborating with the ELT, regional teams, department heads
and site-based stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategy and policies
- Driving the development, alignment, and implementation of the refreshed supply chain
strategy, across planning, logistics, contracts management, inventory management
and supplier onboard
- Supporting the deployment of agile supply chain systems, ensuring fit for purpose
arrangements around performance targets relating to customer service, cost, inventory
and working capital
- Lead contractual negotiations with key suppliers, whilst analysing procurement
expenditure and operational activity and capital projects
- Proactive people leadership that motivates and develops the Supply Chain team
- Supporting the development and implementation of sustainable supply chain solutions
and the delivery of global targets in relation to carbon emissions.
**Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain relevant
to the role.
- Be a proven leader with broad experience across supply chain management, logistics
and warehouse management, stock control, strategy, influencing and negotiation
skills.
- Have demonstrated success in a complex, global environment ideally energy or heavy
industry.
- Be a natural leader, with strong communication skills, with the ability to develop
effective working relationships with key stakeholders, customers, suppliers and peers.
- A strategic thinker with an operational excellence focus - the ability to see the big
picture and map the practical pathways to achieve it.
- Commercial acumen, coupled with strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
- Practical working knowledge of commercial and contractual law, with a quality-focus
that delivers positive customer and business outcomes.
