Job Description
We empower investors to make more informed decisions.
**How do we do it?**
The world of investment has long been inaccessible for most people. It’s complicated, ever changing and clouded by noise. This makes investment daunting, not least because access to the best information has been reserved for a privileged few. We’re challenging this by democratizing access to information that helps people make better informed investment choices.
Our unique model puts the best information at the fingertips of investors of all levels. Through the provision of access and education, our readership can demystify investment and differentiate signal from noise to realize their own objectives.
**What do we do?**
We’re building a community, producing content, curating expert knowledge - distilling and distributing it. With over 250,000 monthly users across Australia, we know we're onto something special and this is just the beginning
**What’s the role?**
Both our team and user base are growing rapidly. As such, we are looking for a UX researcher to help us better understand our users, products and services so that we can be considered and strategic about taking what we do to the next level.
Working closely with our product, engineering and design teams, you will leverage your passion for research, experience with human centered design and innovation to uncover rich insights and frame the priorities on our strategic roadmaps. As a business founded on the ideals that users deserve better access to information, this role will play a critical and formative role in ensuring we understand what our ideal user experience looks like and then help us bring it to life.
**What will you be doing?**
- Drive qualitative and quantitative research to gain a deeper understanding of our user’s needs and most important problems.
- Regularly conduct 1:1 user interviews.
- Design, scope, and run research initiatives that help us deliver upon our most important objectives - working closely with all parts of our business.
- Create user-flows, prototypes and UI designs that help solve those problems.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate quickly towards designs that meet our users’ needs and provide compelling value.
- Run live experiments and collect user insights real time within the product.
- Collaborate with our leadership team to understand the vision and help define the path forward for our product offering and a strategy for the user experience.
- Manage our beta / early adopter program.
- Stay up to date with current UX developments and new methodologies.

**What might make you great for this role?**
- 3-6 years of full time experience in UX research and design related roles.
- Proven ability to use human-centred insight to answer business questions.
- Experience and comfortable leading a variety of user research activities.
- Experience working collaboratively with PMs and engineers and fellow designers to deliver end-to-end user experiences, from research to production and continued improvements.
- Comfortable in articulating the ‘why’, and leading discussions around your process, explorations, and conclusions.
- Strong presentation skills with a creative and compelling storytelling style
- Proven Ability to balance commercial objectives with user needs.
- Savvy analytical skills with a proven ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Comfortable with moving in a fast product development environment.

**About our team**
We haven’t achieved what we have by working alone, in silos or in competition - we’ve done it as a team, and this is never going to change. While we work in a cut-throat industry, that’s not how we operate - you’ll have the support and guidance of an outstanding team who trust each other and share a common purpose.
**Perks**
- Flexibility first - we all have rich and full lives outside of work that matter too
- Learning and training budget - keep learning and growing
- Team events - some involve drinking whilst some involve gym gear, there's something for everyone
- Snacks, drinks, a ping pong table (because that matters.. right?)

Location: Bligh Street, Sydney NSW 2000
