Excellent Senior Facilities and Compliance role for innovative government agency - 6-month contract initially

This Queensland Government Agency works across the state with a range of service providers. They have an innovative and collaborative environment and focus on delivering excellence across all of their business functions. They are based in the heart of Brisbane's CBD.

**Your new role**

As a Facilities, Risk and Compliance Specialist you will work closely with the Corporate Governance Manager to deliver all Facilities and Compliance business unit tasks. It is an exciting role with great opportunity to deliver on improvements and projects with lots of mapping, identifying gaps, providing workarounds and long term sustainable solutions and then designing and deploying improved frameworks. This will include:

- Assisting to provide supervision, mentoring and training to team members
- Designing and Mapping facilities core functions and implementing frameworks to sustain future growth
- Managing a range of different projects across facilities and governance
- Maintaining and implementing improvements to their registers and systems
- Facilitating enhancements to the existing Business Continuity Plan including site security and workplace health and safety emphasis

**What you'll need to succeed**

You need demonstrated experience working across senior facilities' management roles ideally within a fast-paced, delivery focused setting in either the private or public sector. You will ideally also have broad experience that encompasses risk and compliance and be able to demonstrate successes closing off jobs and projects in both the short and long term. You will have strong relationship building skills and experience assisting to lead a team or mentor/coach team members, and the ability to effectively coordinate trades and contractors.

Most important is a proactive attitude, and keen to bring forward ideas and collaborate with your team on solutions.
