In response to continued business growth, Tomax Logistics is seeking the services of Import Operations Clerk to support the Imports team and its daily operations. Based in our Clayton offices in a permanent, full-time capacity, the proposed hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm, 37.5 hours per week.

Reporting to the Import Operations Supervisor, this exciting role will liaise with clients, shipping lines, freight forwarders and other sources within the industry in order to support our client’s logistic needs.

The Import Operations Clerk will process registrations and bookings, handle freight only jobs, raise invoice to clients, chase EDOs and process shipping paperwork all while providing high levels of customer service.

The successful applicant will receive a comprehensive induction in all relevant internal processes and software to ensure early success in the role.

Successful applicants must have:

- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience dealing with import operations
- Excellent phone manner demonstrating professional and courteous behaviour
- Ability to work under pressure with high volume shipments
- Sound organisation and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Capability to deal with conflict and misunderstandings
- Demonstrate sound computer skills including Microsoft Office and Expedient (preferable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
