Reporting to the Principal Project Management Support Office, you will be based at Councils Green Square office, situated in Fortitude Valley.
You will be immersed into a very friendly environment, joining a small and supportive team of highly experienced professionals, who work closely together and ensure the workload is divided consistently within the team.
Your week schedule will consist of a 36.25 hour standard working week with core working hours from 8.30am-4.15pm. There is a minimum requirement of three days in the office and an optional two days to work from home.
**Your new role**

The purpose of this role is to provide portfolio management support in the planning, scheduling and control of projects for the successful delivery of all projects and activities within the Project Management branch or as otherwise required.
In the role of planner scheduler, you will be required to do a lot of the teams technical and operational work. This will involve:
- ad hoc reporting
- frequently updating schedules
- daily communication with the project managers and updating them with monthly reports.
The branch in which this role sits within is the main arm of Councils delivery of bulk infrastructure projects, parks, libraries, flood recovery program, etc. The team currently supports approximately 200 active projects.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- the ability to engage with and build professional relationships with project managers and other relevant stakeholders
- a technical background in scheduling - Microsoft Project Professional as a minimum
- an understanding of the logistics of schedules
Desirable
- experience using other scheduling packages e.g. Primavera
- a background in construction projects
