**The opportunity**

Reporting into a highly regarded and charismatic Chief People Officer (CPO), this senior leadership role will be part of a high performing and impactful People, Culture & Safety (PCS) Team. As a permanent member of PCS, you’ll oversee the provision of a broad range of high-quality operational and generalist HR services, including Payroll, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, Employee & Industrial Relations, People Systems and Remuneration.

Managing five direct reports and overseeing a wider group of twenty, you’ll ensure service delivery excellence is achieved, minimising GWW’s risk through the robust governance and continuous improvement of enabling systems, processes, and procedures.

You’ll partner with PCS peers and business executives to provide a range of strategic HR advice including remuneration, industrial matters, and the linkage with other teams such as L&D, OD, Health & Safety and Employee Experience.

**Responsibilities**- Lead the effective, efficient, and timely provision of operational HR services and advice across the HR employee lifecycle; from recruitment through to exit.- Sponsor the adoption of the People Data and Analytics Strategy, its operational plan, and the relationships with reporting recipients.- Manage Executive Contracts and Remuneration in accordance with the Victorian Government Public Entity Executive Remuneration Policy.- Manage payroll operational risks and issues while looking for ways to improve payroll services accuracy and timeliness- Develop performance plans and conduct regular reviews with team members while generating a culture of business partnership and service excellence.- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships within the industry, Unions, Auditors, and other external providers.- Ensure GWW has adequate policies and procedures and supporting tools are up to date and effective and lead GWW Enterprise Agreement negotiations with unions

**Skills & Experience**- You’re a seasoned Senior Manager or Head of People with broad HR experience from both white and blue collar environments.- You’ve worked as an HR Generalist covering a variety of disciplines while also having an in-depth understanding of remuneration frameworks, industrial relations, complex case management and performance management practices.- You have an appreciation of People systems and processes, as well as talent acquisition and payroll, leading to an optimal PCS function and business improvement.- Your customer service orientation and ability to influence, partner and collaborate with peers and stakeholders is one of your greatest strengths.- An impeccable people manager where you’ve coached and developed leaders and individuals.- You love working strategically while understanding the detail of operations and partnering with senior leaders to influence positive outcomes for employees and the business.
