An SAM is responsible for utilising a strong foundation for SAM using the SNOW Software tool and will be involved in the management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing. You will also work with vendors, stakeholders, and procurement to assist the SAM lead with negotiation and consolidation opportunities.
Some day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting with the development and review of the SAM plan
- Inputting categorization and uploading software
- Proactively socialise with stakeholder groups and assist in the development of strategies for optimisation/ consolidation, harvesting and risk remediation
- Provide input for the SAM lead to work with stakeholder groups for contract renewal savings
- Maintenance and administration of the SNOW tool
- Document policies and procedures for hardware asset management
- Input to SACM responsibilities in the areas related to Asset & Billing This is essentially ensuring
- Contribution to assist Manage the Microsoft renewal and true-up process for the enterprise
- Assist in the management of Customer Software and Licencing requests via internal
- Tertiary qualifications (bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skill
- Experience in SAM and SNOW Software Tolls
- Experience using Service Management tool / technologies.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skill
Preferred Applicants will establish that they have
- Experience and/or knowledge in software asset management platforms and processes.
- Experience and/or knowledge in software licensing.
