Due to growth, our federal government client is seeking an ICT Software Asset Manager for a 24 month contract (12+12) ongoing potential to extend, and can be based in Inner Melbourne or Geelong with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week. Hybrid Work Model.

Leading a small team of 2 x Asset Officers managing all aspects of the software asset management lifecycle for a national Federal Agency, you will be responsible for developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the ICT Software Asset Management function.

Duties are as follows:

- You'll be accountable for all Service Portfolio catalogues, frameworks and documentation.
- Leading the Agency's Software Asset Management team, delivering essential ICT software services to the Agency.
- Designing, building, deploying, and supporting the Agency's software catalogue
- Managing software licenses and budgets, including financial management reporting
- Creating and maintaining the ICT Service Portfolio's technical and business catalogues, framework, and documentation.
- ** Be an Australian Citizen - essential**
- Demonstrated 5 years' experience leading teams to deliver ICT services through management frameworks such as ITIL
- Demonstrated experience with ICT Software Asset Management
- Demonstrated experience in each of the following areas: software licensing, catalogue creation, demand and capacity management
- Demonstrated high level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to difficult and complex problems.
- Experience working in Government preferred
- Demonstrated experience with ICT Service Portfolio

This will be a hybrid work arrangement thus you must be able to attend the office on a 3/2 split in person with the remainder working from your home office. The rate is a daily rate of $1000 per day includes superannuation and will be an initial 12-month contract with long extensions.
