**About the role**

DuluxGroup is on an exciting journey having made several acquisitions in the ANZ and European region in recent years. This has created new opportunities within our finance function to have a big impact on our future.

This role is pivotal to providing advice regarding mergers & acquisitions and is an opportunity to be involved from start to end accounting for all the successful acquisitions.

In addition, you will support the technical accounting competency of the wider Finance function by producing and providing training, as well as maintaining accounting policies and procedures.

You will be based out of our head office in Clayton with flexible working options.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide accounting advice regarding mergers & acquisitions and any purchase price accounting wok
- Provide advice on the adequacy of policies related to the Governance framework for the Group (e.g. policy for balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset verification) and their adherence with accounting standards
- Review and assess accounting and reporting issues
- Prepare and distribute an ongoing technical training, taking into account competing priorities for the wider Finance team
- Provide accurate and robust advice, to avoid unplanned financial impact.

**Skills & Experience**
- CPA/CA qualification
- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Demonstrated experience in working through complex accounting issues
- Strong interpersonal and partnering skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to provide insight and recommend commercial solutions
- Preferably experience with business acquisitions and purchase price accounting
