We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Fitter (Marine Service Technician) to join the Henderson team reporting to the Operations Manager.

Location: 42 Zedora Turn, Henderson WA 6166

**Salary**: $82,000.00 - $95,000.00 + Super

Hours: Full Time - 38 Hours per week

The Marine Service (Fitter General) Technician will represent ARA Marine in the best possible manner and accomplish the tasks allocated with thoroughness and accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Pressure relief valve testing, cylinder and flexible hose pressure testing, compressor overhauls & servicing mechanical related equipment within Defence industries.
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or on-site.
- Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working correctly.
- Inspecting fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instructions.
- Identify worn and faulty component needs in accordance with the company standards.
- Manage all onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Be able to work autonomously & unsupervised.
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and briefings.
- Shaping metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore, and drill metal
- Preparing pattern mechanisms to control the operation of têxtile machines used for spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing, and tufting fabric.
- Build positive relationships with the team and customers.
- Comply with company OHS and E rules and regulations.
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings

Essential Criteria
- 3 -5 years post trade proven experience Trade Mechanical Fitter.
- Comfortable using App based software when completing jobs.
- Drivers licence and White card
- Ability to pass and maintain a current National Police Check.
- Desirable qualifications. EWP, Forklift, Riggers Licence. EAHL

**Qualifications**:
Relevant Qualification and 2 years of work experience
