We are seeking a professional and experienced Full-Time **Mechanical Engineering Technician.**
**Role & Responsibilities**:
The Mechanical Engineering Technician’s main duty is to assemble and install new or altered mechanical & fabrication equipment and parts and carry out workshop and field testing as part of the quality control process.
- Assist with preparation of drawings and plans for Mechanical works.
- Ensuring that designs and works are completed within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
- Oversee team performance (including sub-contractors and labour hire) and receive and provide constructive feedback on ability and quality.
- Ensure product quality is achieved in a timely and cost-effective way.
- Ensure IKAD’s HSEQ responsibilities are complied with.
- Conduct random Surveillance Audits across all business sectors.
- Revise and approve ITP’s and JSEA’s for projects.
- Evaluate operational performance, recommend and report to identify issues and opportunities to improve ongoing performance.
- Verify weld traceability mapping and spread sheets.
- Calibrate and maintain welding and mechanical equipment.
- Provide direction and support to the operations team and attend project meetings.
- Report and raise NCR’s and ensure closeout are with in a timely manner.
- Conduct Protective Coating Inspections.
- Raise NDT requests and validate reports.
**What you will bring to the Team**:
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Mechanical or Fabrication).
- CSWIP 3.1 Visual Weld Inspections or equivalent.
- NACE Level 1 (desirable).
- Internal auditor (desirable).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant or similar role.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Good knowledge of quality systems, policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of CNC laser and brake press machines.
- Proven track record in successful project management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sound computer literacy, especially in regard to spreadsheets and Quality reporting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Sound ability to management of multiple conflicting priorities, complex problem solving and working under pressure.
- Valid motor vehicle drivers’ licence (WA - C class).

**Experience**:
