We are recruiting for a Supervisor to oversee the on-site delivery of defined scopes of work on schedule with all stakeholder expectations met for this Rutherford based role. The role is based around track construction work within the rail corridor across NSW with majority works being self performed.
**Responsibilities of the role include**:
- Manage direct labour and subcontractors
- Manage Safety and Quality compliance on site
- Manage access and logistics to ensure successful project outcomes
- Technically mentor Engineers and other workforce
- Ensure rail safety requirements are incorporated into all works
- Strict adherence to cost and time
- Review and coordinate all temporary works associated with the delivery
- Facilitate handover process between variable shifts
- Continuously challenge compliance to staff/subcontractors with GMR’s
- Ensure all community relations and compliances are upheld
- Liaise with engineers are principals of success are aligned
- Maintain attitude and behaviours of all staff and workforce pertaining to OHS are aligned with successful outcomes
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed.
- Manage industrial relations issues and implications and develop appropriate resolution.
- Conduct thorough performance management evaluation for direct and indirect reports as defined by the JHG Performance Management Development System.
**To be successful in this key role you must have**:
- Trade qualifications or similar
- Minimum 5-10 years previous construction experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated competency in track renewal and construction
- Skills in construction method development and subsequent programming
- People and performance management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour
- Skill in review of design documentation, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
- Safety and environment management, resource management and construction program and methodology.
- Experience with rail systems construction
