Job Title: Finance Officer (Temporary)

Location: Adelaide CBD

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (9:30am - 2:30pm, 5 working days)

Scheduled End: 3-4 months - possibility of an extension

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate the accounting package (Xero) and maintain accuracy in transaction postings and GST codes
- Process general accounts payable and accounts receivable invoicing, including personal expense reimbursements
- Ensure accurate reconciliations and reporting of corporate credit cards
- Manage the setup and integrity of supplier and customer data
- Control and manage bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post month-end journals as directed
- Maintain accurate databases for government grants, sundry income contracts, and event income
- Support the Management Accountant during end-of-year audits
- Assist with month-end reconciliations and budget monitoring
- Perform other accounting administrative duties as required

Selection Criteria:

- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Xero and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to think strategically and see beyond the numbers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to varying tasks
- Familiarity with financial accounting processes and exposure to small organizations
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit, Public Sector, or health services sector is preferred
