**The Opportunity**
This is an exciting opportunity for to join Transgrid’s commercial arm LUMEA. Our Energy Infrastructure team is looking for an experienced individual to join the team as a Proposal Manager.
The Proposal Manager is responsible for high quality customer management, gathering relevant commercial, financial and technical information and will lead the development, negotiation and execution of energy infrastructure proposals to contribute to the growth targets of the business.
The role will maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate engagement, consultation and negotiation of contracts and project-related work to deliver customer and business outcomes.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Lead the development of innovative and competitive proposals
- Maintain a customer-led focus through the development of proposals
- Develop and secure approval for successful proposal strategies, resourcing and budgets
- Explain technical and operational proposal concepts in simple business language to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure internal governance and controls are identified, established and monitored to ensure efficient proposal delivery
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables and outcomes in accordance with client requirements and agreements.
- Take accountability for the delivery of all solutions to customers,
- Proactively identify and work to resolve technical and commercial issues impacting customer proposals to ensure timely delivery of outcomes to stakeholder expectations.
- Work collaboratively with customers to ensure proposals are successfully secured and transitioned into contract opportunities
- Develop and obtain approval for accurate financial modelling, including capital and debt funding risk management for all allocated proposals.
**Skills and Experience**
- Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage contract negotiations.
- Experience in the development and management of large competitive energy infrastructure and or services proposals.
- Experience in innovative project development and management, and well developed problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate to senior internal and external stakeholders.
- High-level business and commercial acumen.
- Proven experience with pricing high-value proposals
- Experience with developing pricing strategies with the use of financial modelling
- Experience working in multidisciplinary organisations and in roles that require the coordination of multiple inputs.
- Knowledge and experience with relevant database systems, particularly CRM (e.g. Salesforce) preferable
- Strong organisational and time management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
