**About the role**

As a Business Services Officer you will be part of the Business Services team and will be responsible for assisting the IED Business Services Manager in the provision of business and cost administration services, business systems and business improvement initiatives.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Undertake the department's cost administration requirements, including requisitions, change requests, correct receipts, and receipting requirements in accordance with procurement directives, policies, and procedures.
- Assess and resolve issues preventing the timely payment of supplier invoices in consultation with Finance, the requesting officer and external clients.
- Monitor and maintain department purchase orders in accordance with current procurement directives including ensuring the accurate capture of budget commitments and delivery timeframes.
- Administer and maintain Infrastructure and Environment related data in the relevant Council corporate systems.
- Provide high level support, advice, and recommendations to Branch and Section Managers in relation to systems and business support services including identifying required changes to procedures and documentation.
- Assist key stakeholders with a range of departmental matters, including training, awareness, and implementation of system and business improvement initiatives.
- Support the Business Services functions within the Infrastructure and Environment Department including the regular review, refinement and improvement in processes, procedures and systems.

This is a Permanent full time role, Level 3 to 5 commencing at $71,978 plus superannuation of up to 12%.
