The **Partner Manager - Education** has the overall responsibility for establishing and growing the university partnership to ensure the highest quality provision of online education with high student and partner satisfaction whilst achieving commercial outcomes and stimulating future growth to the partnership.

The key functions that report into this role are the creation of online academic programmes, teaching delivery and student operations which includes a multi channel student-facing support centre.

This role will also ensure that the OES has appropriately implemented quality assurance, programme development and accreditation policy and procedures as established by the partner and regulatory bodies eg Office for Students.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Leadership of the partnership**:

- Establishing the partnership to create solid foundations for a long term relationships;
- Working with the partner university to improve academic and administrative functions and processes;
- Manage and improve processes for monitoring student performance and retention;
- Ensure the integrity of assessment procedures; maintain the confidentiality of student data; and manage the quality assurance of all academic programmes;
- Identify the most efficient processes for developing and delivering high quality academic materials, based on industry best practice, and implement these processes;
- Ensure the provision of high-quality student support via telephony and digital channels (inbound and outbound).

**2. People management and leadership**:

- Lead a well-qualified team that will thrive in a high performance and values based, student-centric culture;
- Develop individuals and teams through training and professional development activities.

**3. Strategy**:

- Drive the development of academic strategy including acknowledgement of industry trends and regulations.

**4. Industry engagement**:

- Develop key industry relationships through attending industry events, professional bodies and peer organisations to ensure programmes are industry relevant and competitive.

**5. Budget and target setting**:

- Lead and contribute to the annual budget planning process
- Manage the partnership within set budgets;
- Accountable for the achievement of financial and operational KPIs and metrics for the partnership.

**6. Delivery of the overall student experience**:

- Accountable for the achievement of student experience and satisfaction KPIs and metrics;
- Ensure the unit delivers high quality and industry leading programmes in line with all quality assurance requirements;
- Identify and implement cost-effective initiatives for improving the student experience;
- Ensure there are robust processes for monitoring, measuring and reporting on programme and tutor quality and address quality issues in a timely manner and in accordance with quality assurance requirements;
- Identify and review issues, priorities and performance against KPIs and provide regular management level reports to the executive team.

**7. Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements;
- Ensure compliance with all partnership quality assurance requirements

**Requirements**:
Previous experience in a senior academic management role within the HE sector

1. Post graduate qualification (or experience) commensurate with a senior academic position

2. Experience in an account management role or equivalent, with proven experience in:

- Building excellent relationships with senior external stakeholders
- Proactively driving growth in the account/partnership
- Track record of proactively driving innovation

3. Personal characteristics:

- Has the ‘presence’ (experience and/or personal attributes) to be respected by, and effective in dealing with, senior external stakeholders
- Autonomous, strategic thinker, results orientated and innovative.
