We're seeking a skilled professional to join a growing team delivering civil and geotechnical projects across regional Australia.

This is a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) position offering long-term continuity, technical variety, and the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects including tailings storage facilities and earthworks construction.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in overseeing civil construction activities on site, ensuring technical compliance, safety, and quality standards are met. This role suits someone who enjoys being in the field and is looking to build their career around site-based engineering rather than office work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply technical specifications and construction drawings.
  • Supervise civil earthworks, including tailings dam construction
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and testing activities (compaction, materials, etc.).
  • Liaise confidently with contractors and client representatives.
  • Monitor and report on HSEW compliance.
  • Oversee lining works (HDPE, BGM, etc.) and associated QA/QC processes.
  • Prepare daily reports, NCRs, and site documentation.
  • Support technical guidance and ensure project standards are upheld.

About You

You're an engineer who thrives on-site. Practical, detail-oriented, and confident managing contractors in challenging environments. You take pride in quality outcomes and clear communication and are motivated by the satisfaction of seeing projects built the right way.

You'll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil construction supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in tailings dam or similar large-scale earthworks projects.
  • Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and site testing.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Commitment to safety and technical excellence.
