**The Role**
As the Information and Knowledge Management Team Leader, you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex corporate information and records management work within an integrated workforce. You will assist with information and knowledge management services across Air Force, in accordance with legislation and Defence policies and procedures.
The main responsibilities for the role are to:
- Develop and implement information and records management procedures to achieve continuous improvement.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and reporting activities for systems and practices.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training on information and records management responsibilities, principles and processes.
- Manage information and records management activities in accordance with the Archives Act 1983, relevant legislation and Defence policies and procedures.
- Investigate and recommend solutions for complex records management issues.
**About our Team**
The Information and Knowledge Management Officer Team Leader role sits within the Deputy Chief of Staff Directorate in AFHQ, a multi-disciplinary team of approximately 40 team members. The Directorate provides support to the Air Force Executive and delivers centralised coordination of administrative and business functions and processes, including information management, corporate governance, performance reporting, risk management and committee secretariat. The Directorate also provides military administrative support to Air Force personnel posted to AFHQ. The Information and Knowledge Management Officer Team Leader leads a small integrated team of APS and military staff. You will be joining a small team that will rely on each other’s knowledge and strengths to achieve the desired outcomes and work as a member of the collegiate leadership team within DCOS Directorate.
