**The Role**
The Talent & Development Advisor position is integral to building Auto & General’s talent, leadership, and capabilities by partnering with leaders and key stakeholders within the business and People & Culture division.
With an initial focus on scaling a frontline Technical Capability Framework, this role will have a project management responsibility. Ongoing, it will identify and support the sourcing of fit-for-purpose relevant learning and talent solutions for non frontline divisions, that will in turn support the achievement of the People & Culture and Auto & General strategies.
**Positions Accountabilities**
- Project Manage the continued evolution of a Technical Capability Framework (Role Connect) for Consultants and Frontline Leaders within frontline divisions, including working collaboratively with business leaders and SME’s for inputs.
- Collaborate with People Business Partners and leaders in A&G to understand the talent, succession planning, and development requirements of the divisions including the identification of talent, skill, knowledge, and capability gaps, looking at themes and trends over time to prioritise solutions/action areas.
- Collaborate with Learning and Organisational Development specialist teams to support execution of relevant, just in time, development solutions.
- Support the embedment of leadership development programs including planning and transitioning the program to BAU delivery.
- Collaborate with People Business Partners to facilitate the cyclical Succession Planning Framework and processes, coaching leaders on how to use the framework for succession planning within their own team(s) ensuring completion at regular intervals as agreed internally.
**What experience you’ll bring**
**Essential**:
- Strong internal consulting and partnering skills, with the ability to influence and build exceptional relationships with key internal stakeholders, up to senior management level, generating confidence, credibility, and trust to deliver against client expectations/goals.
- Proven experience leading an HR or Learning project, preferably a learning and/or technical capability framework project..
- Understanding of frontline claims, sales and/or service business(s).
- General understanding of succession planning methodology and requirements within an insurance or financial services context.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, incorporating effective planning, prioritising, and organisational skills with good attention to detail, to achieve quality outcomes in talent and development projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal and team skills and behaviours, incorporating strong verbal and written communication, flexibility, and resilience.
**Desirable**:
- Experience in the Banking, Finance, or Insurance industries.
**Inherent Requirements Of The Role**:
- The role may be based at either Toowong, North Lakes or Kawana sites, with the requirement to travel to either of these sites at any given time, as required. A current driver’s licence and own transport is required.
