About the opportunity:

Due to growth and internal movement, we are now creating a brand-new team of Heavy Haulage Motor Claims Officers based in a hybrid working model at our awesome Parramatta office.

We have multiple permanent, full-time roles on offer which will see you support our customers with end-to-end claims management for our large loss motor claims. You will ideally have claims or motor claims experience although if you have exceptional customer service experience and are keen to learn a new industry this could also be the opportunity for you

In this position, you will:

- Deliver high quality customer service and develop a good working relationship with all customers and service providers
- Process claims in line with set procedures and policies for a prompt and effective outcome
- Manage claims using the appropriate external and internal specialists to achieve the settlement outcome efficiently and effectively
- Support with the implementation of new work practices and procedures, initiating and facilitating change and innovations where required
Enhance and develop your own technical expertise with support and participate in professional development and training where required

Your story so far:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An understanding of general insurance plus extensive experience in customer service, administration and/or business support
- Ideally previous experience within the insurance industry and/or claims management
- Previous experience within heavy haulage/motor claims is advantageous although not mandatory
- Exceptional customer service and stakeholder management skills with a desire to help people
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- An engaging and courteous phone manner with the ability to type and talk concurrently
- Strong administration and computer skills with great attention to detail
